Canada Day

We had a nice 1st of July.  But first I loved this picture.  Leah had spent some time with us while Braydon was out in BC.  He was out for 3 weeks. On Father's Day Leah was up with us and we took a picture.  It felt a little empty with out the other three.  I asked Cora if she could take one with them all in BC.  She sent me this one as a joke, but I loved it and so kept it. It is so cool the white work gear they wear to work in the temple.
Blake got to go dirt biking and mountain biking in the Pass.  He had a blast. He said they hit it hard, and just zoomed top gear.

Beautiful rain through the clouds.

We moved cows on the 1st.  We were short in numbers but got it done in good time.  When I got to the farm, everyone was on bikes and quads.  Jared said he had a lawnmower I could use if I wanted to. :)

Blake was in Raymond for the weekend.  He learned how to surf, got up first try, and went to the rodeo.  Leah had Jess and Kylan come and stay with them for the weekend.  On Monday she asked if we could take them boating.  Most of them had knee issues, so it was mostly just tubing, and picnic on the beach.  It ended up being a great day, we thought weather was going to be cold and breezy, at the lake it was excellent.

Cora and Ammon were told about an abandoned goldmine.  They went hiking around there and tried to see the fireworks. Cora had thought that they would be able to see them from the temple, but apparently not.  They couldn't leave to much as they were doing security as well.

But in all our different places we all had fun and enjoyed our beautiful country.

Blake just got back from YM's camp.  Also had a blast there.  He wasn't super excited to go, but as always it turned out great.  It was a military theme.  He was asked to be one of the captains.  He had a troop of 8 guys.  They had to find the equipment and build their shelters.  Blake said his troop was the fastest at finding and setting up.  Over the next few days they did ax throwing, held snakes and tarantulas, hiked up a mountain carrying a log and back down, archery, gun shooting, cold dip, and a talk on missionary service.  Blake is the only boy in the stake at the moment that has his mission call.  He said there was a lot of talk about that.  One other boy is almost done his papers. They did a second hike another day.  Ate extremely well and had unlimited supply of lemonade.  He came back sore, tired, dirty, and happy.  Just as a YMs camp should be.
